Our Learning

PE

peWe have designed our Physical Education curriculum to challenge and inspire. We want our children to be active and healthy.

At Bawdeswell Primary school we follow the National Curriculum guidance for Physical Education.  We work on a 2-year rolling programme and we adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of the children. The Real PE scheme has been adapted and additional traditional sports are taught throughout the year. The learning is sequenced to enable the children to always build on previous learning to deepen and broaden their understanding of Physical Education. Links are made to other areas of the Curriculum including links to Science ‘Healthy Bodies’/ Movement’.

The Real PE focuses of personal, social, cognitive, creative, physical and health and fitness drive the PE curriculum.

This is underpinned by our Values and Ethos statement which shows our aim is for the children to:

‘Love your learning,   Have a positive attitude,   Always believe in yourself’

This is also underpinned in our ‘Learning Wheel’

‘Be strong, resilient and self-aware’

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises ten Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
