Ethos and Values

Our Values and Ethos.

Love your learning,

At Bawdeswell Primary school we have designed a curriculum which aims to promote a love of learning. We hope that the learning experiences that we offer the children will promote inquisitive minds and a life long love of learning. All staff promote and value this love of learning.

Have a positive attitude,

At Bawdeswell Primary School we are a welcoming and co-operative community in which relationships are based on mutual support, trust and where everybody feels valued. We are empathetic, helpful and respectful of others. We provide opportunities that encourage the children to work cooperatively together and develop the children’s awareness and sensitivity towards living things and the world that we live in.  We respect the culture and beliefs of others and treat everyone equally. All staff promote and value having a positive attitude.

Always believe in yourself,

In connection with the school’s curriculum wheel, we positively encourage the children to always believe in themselves, be strong resilient and self- aware. Our Aim as a school, is to build the children’s self-esteem and self-efficiency. When a child believes in themselves, they strive academically and this is the first secret to success. All staff promote and value believing in yourself.

Grow your friendships,

It is important that children are provided with opportunities to grow their friendships to enable them to become empathetic, open-minded individuals, with a mutual respect and tolerance for others. All staff promote and believe in the importance of positive relationships in school.

Be kind.

As our rules tell us in our Behaviour Policy and rules remind us to everyday to ‘Talk kindly to each other’. All staff behave in a kind and respectful manner to the whole school community and they promote this to the children.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises ten Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
