Attendance

Children need to be at school to learn effectively.

Those who miss odd days or extended periods, fall behind and lose confidence. Schools are not allowed to authorise time away from school except in exceptional circumstances.

If you do need to take your child out of school during term time for exceptional circumstances (such as a family funeral), you will need to fill out a leave of absence request form and give it in to the school office. This form can be found on our ‘useful forms and downloads’ page >

We will be in touch if your child’s attendance drops below 95% to work with you and agree a support plan to build his/her attendance levels up again. If your child’s unauthorised attendance drops below the threshold set by Norfolk County Council, we will issue a fine in accordance with the NCC terms.
